Preparation

All plants and flowers are covered with tarps, by the Mobile Wash Express crew, when use of the heavy duty cleaner is necessary. The heavy duty cleaner is a necessary application if we are stripping an old sealer off of the wood. If milder cleaner is used, no preparation is necessary. Proceed to step 1. . .

Wood Cleaning & Sealing

Step 1:

Cleaner Applied: A 5-gallon bucket, filled with the appropriate formulation of cleaner, is attached to our Deckster machine, and is applied liberally to the wood.

Step 2:

Pressure Washing: After the cleaner sets for an appropriate amount of time, the wood is thoroughly pressure washed with our low pressure tip using 1500 psi or less. 100% of all weathering will be removed from the wood.

Step 3:

Clean-Up: Any debris (mulch, grass, etc) that may have washed up on to any siding or windows is pressure washed off.

Step 4:

Conditioner Applied: a 5-gallon bucket, filled with the appropriate formulation of conditioner, is attached to the Deckster machine and is liberally applied to the wood. The conditioner penetrates the wood, and brightens the appearance of the wood. This step restores the natural beauty of the wood, as well as neutralizes the previously used cleaner.

Step 5:

Wood Sealing: This step is scheduled for a later date to allow the wood to dry completely. The staining/sealing step is normally completed within 1 week of the first visit, weather pending. This also allows us time to order your stain choice!

One liberally applied coat of Ready Seal ™ is applied to the wood with a low pressure sprayer to preserve it’s renewed condition. A sprayer will not be used within 3 feet of the house’s siding, or on very windy days. For information on color samples, pictures and sealers used, please visit www.readyseal.com The 3 colors that we use and keep in stock are Light Brown, Medium Brown, and Natural Cedar. We use the best commercial grade cleaner, conditioner, and stain/seal products available!
